GRAND FORKS, N.D. — For the second straight match, Saint Mary's (0-2) outshot their opponent by a wide margin but came up short in the end as the Gaels fell in overtime to North Dakota, 2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Malia Allison tallied the Gaels' first goal of 2019 in the 52nd minute with a header off a corner kick to give Saint Mary's a 1-0 lead. Picking up assists on the score were Jaylen Crim and Kamryn Farro.
The lead didn't hold for long however as North Dakota (1-0-1) immediately replied with a goal of their own from Mara Yapello less than two minutes later.
