MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's battled into the second overtime period for the second straight game on Sunday but settled for a draw with San Francisco after the session expired with a 1-1 score.
The Gaels scored their lone goal of the game in the 29th minute as Carly Hittenmiller got in the path of a clear by the USF goalkeeper and her body redirected the shot back into the net. It was the first career goal for the junior and tied up the game at 1-all.
The Dons drew first blood in the contest by scoring off a corner kick in the 17th minute.
