MORAGA, Calif. — In an exhibition match against Bay Area foe San Jose State, the Gaels fell 1-0 on a sweltering hot evening in Moraga.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The lone goal of the game came in the 66th minute as the Spartans' junior Jamilecxth Becerra lofted a high shot across the box into the upper left corner to break the scoreless tie.
Saint Mary's outshot the Spartans in the contest 12-10 despite surrendering the goal. Junior forward Jaylen Crim paced the Gaels' offense with three shots while freshman newcomer Kaytlin Brinkman chipped in two as well.
