FRESNO, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team scored its earliest goal of the season Friday, but two unanswered goals by host Fresno State allowed the Bulldogs to come from behind for a 2-1 win at Fresno State’s Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.
The Gaels (1-6-1) got on the board just 4 minutes, 13 seconds into the match on Heather Seybert’s first goal of the season. Fresno State tried to clear the ball out of the penalty area after it was sent in off a corner kick. But a header didn’t go far enough and went right to Seybert.
