MORAGA, Calif. — Riding a six-game winning streak, the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team begins an important West Coast Conference road trip that includes a potential 1-2 showdown at Gonzaga on Saturday.
The Gaels (14-9, 9-3 WCC) have won six straight and eight of their last nine after starting the year 6-8 overall. Saint Mary’s sits alone in second place, one game behind first-place Gonzaga. SMC plays at Portland at 7 p.m. Thursday. Then the showdown of the conference’s top-two teams comes at 2 p.m. Saturday in Spokane. Both games will be streamed live on the Gaels’ Gameday Central page.
