MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team (18-5, 9-3 West Coast Conference) hits the road for a pair of games in southern California this week. On Thursday, the Gaels take on Pepperdine at 7:00 p.m. in Malibu. On Saturday, the Gaels face Loyola Marymount at 2:00 p.m. in Gersten Pavilion.
Last week the Gaels split the San Diego/BYU match-ups, doing it for the second time this year. SMC remains the only WCC team to own a split against the top two teams in the conference.
The Gaels still have an outside shot at a regular season title, just two games behind in the loss column to BYU with six conference games remaining.
