FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A huge performance Thursday by Colorado State’s Elin Gustavsson helped lead the Rams to a come-from-behind, 80-68 overtime win in the first round of the 2017 Women’s National Invitational Tournament at Moby Arena.
Gustavsson scored a game-high 28 points, including 13 in the second half and overtime, to lead the Rams (25-8) into the second round of the WNIT. Colorado State outscored Saint Mary’s (20-13) 18-6 in overtime and 21-15 in the fourth quarter to overcome a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit.
Saint Mary’s still led by as much as seven with less than three minutes to go in regulation.
