SAN BRUNO, Calif. — For the second time this season, the Women's Basketball squad at Saint Mary's is getting some recognition for an outstanding weekly performance. Just announced by the West Coast Conference, Taycee Wedin has been named the WCC Player of the Week, based on her performance in conference games through January 4.
Wedin was as guaranteed as a sharp-shooter as you could get this past week as the Saint Mary's Gaels begin the WCC season 4-0, the only 4-0 team in the conference through two weeks. Wedin only took 15 shots between the two wins against Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount, but she made 11 of those shots, going 10-13 from three-point range.
