MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Women's Basketball got off to a good start against the Kansas Jayhawks, but hit a rough stretch in the second quarter which led to a 73-53 loss on Saturday afternoon.
SMC and KU were all tied at 12-12 late in the first quarter before a three pointer by Kansas made it 15-12 Jayhawks, which was the only difference in the quarter.
But the big momentum swing in the game occurred with just under six minutes left in the first half, when a Taycee Wedin three pointer was waved off after review that showed the shot clock had expired before she released it.
