MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Women's Basketball lost a heartbreaker to Pacific in the regular season finale on Saturday, as a rough fourth quarter led to a 68-53 loss.
The Gaels finished seventh in the conference standings since they own the tie breaker with Santa Clara, and will play LMU on Thursday, March 2 at 2:30 p.m.
The first three quarters of Saturday's game were very evenly matched between the two teams, which was to be expected with the same overall record and just a one-game difference in the WCC standings.
Saint Mary's led by three at the half and were shooting almost 10 percent better than Pacific, with a 24-19 rebounding advantage.
