SEATTLE – Saint Mary's Women's Basketball ran into an undefeated buzz saw in the Washington Huskies, as the Gaels fell 64 to 32 at Alaska Airlines Arena on Saturday afternoon.
After a sweet turnaround jumper by Maia Jones made it a 7-4 game for Washington, the Huskies would to on their first run of the game. Their first-quarter run would be a 10-0 stretch that put them up 17-4 with just over three minutes to go in the first.
The Gaels would snap it the run with a an up-and-under move by Tayla Dalton for a layup to make it a 17-6 game, but Washington would go on an 8-2 run to finish the quarter up 26-8.
