Raleigh, N.C. – The Saint Mary's Women's Basketball Team found themselves down early to the No. 2 team in the country, NC State Wolfpack, and couldn't climb out of the deficit in a 101-73 loss on Saturday afternoon.

The Gaels scored the first basket of the game on a Jade Kirisome layup, but that would be their only lead of the contest. However, it was still tie game at 7-7 halfway through the quarter after a Makena Mastora three pointer with 4:24 to go in the opening frame.
