LOS ANGELES — A solid block up front and a balanced team attack helped lead Loyola Marymount to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-10, 25-18) West Coast Conference sweep over the Saint Mary’s volleyball team Saturday at Gersten Pavilion.
The Lions (15-9, 6-6 WCC) collected nine total team blocks while holding the Gaels (10-13, 5-7 WCC) to a -.040 team hitting percentage. Saint Mary’s had 21 attack errors to just 18 kills. Meanwhile, LMU spread out its attack with seven players logging at least two kills – four of which tallied four or more. Five Lions also had at least two blocks, with Jamie Lea and Erin Williams getting five each.
