MORAGA, Calif. — More elite firepower comes to Moraga in 2017, as the Saint Mary’s volleyball team announced Wednesday the signing of potent outside hitter Jennifer Laird from San Luis Obispo to a National Letter of Intent.
The 5-foot, 11-inch, Laird, nicknamed “Boo” from her likeness to the character in the popular Pixar film, “Monsters Inc.,” concluded her high school career earlier this month at Mission Prep High School in San Luis Obispo. Laird posted impressive numbers in multiple categories during four years of varsity volleyball, proving to be a robust all-around player. This fall she was nominated as PAC 8 Most Valuable Player, first team all-league and first team all-county for her dominating senior campaign.
