MORAGA, Calif. — The WCC coaches are expecting an up year for Saint Mary's Volleyball, as the Gaels were selected to finish tied for fourth in the WCC Preseason Coaches Poll. This is the highest the Gaels have been picked to finish, since the 2014 season, when they were tabbed to finish third.
A big reason as to why the Gaels were picked to finish so highly is there returning talent. Saint Mary's returns four starters as well as their primary libero. Headlining that group is preseason All-WCC honoree Genevieve Bane. The sophomore outside hitter out of Danville played in every set last season, tallying 223 kills and a team-high 35 service aces.
