SAN FRANCISCO — The Saint Mary's Gaels (7-9, 1-3) made the trek across the Bay Bridge to take on the USF Dons (8-9, 2-3), and will return home with their first WCC win of the season, defeating the Dons in four sets (20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-21). The Gaels led in nearly every statistical category, and were able to overcome a sluggish start to bring an end to their recent drought.
CLEANING UP THEIR ACT
After the Gaels committed 5 errors in the first 9 points of the match, it seemed that USF could go into cruise control, ahead 8-1 in set one.
