MORAGA, Calif. — A huge weekend hosting Bay Area rivals California and Stanford in September and a slate of nine NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago highlight the Saint Mary’s volleyball team’s 2016 schedule, as announced by head coach Rob Browning.
The Gaels host Pac-12 powers Stanford and California at McKeon Pavilion on Sept. 16 and 17, respectively. Stanford finished third in the Pac-12 last year and made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Cal struggled in 2015, but made 12 straight trips to the NCAA Tournament with nine consecutive appearances in the final top-25 rankings from 2002-13.
