SAN FRANCISCO — The Saint Mary’s men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up their regular season Saturday at the West Coast Last Chance Meet hosted by San Francisco at San Francisco State’s Cox Stadium, with more school and personal records marking the continued ascension of the programs.
Gabe Arias highlighted the men’s performances by winning the 5,000 meters in a school-record time of 14 minutes, 27.28 seconds. Arias won the race by more than two seconds over an unattached runner and nearly four seconds ahead of the nearest collegiate runner. Mason Labadie set a new personal record in the 5,000, running 15:28.
