MORAGA, Calif. — The track season provides plenty of opportunities for setting goals and reaching them, with numerous meets on the schedule and plenty of different races to run. But the Saint Mary’s track team has one particular goal in mind for this outdoor season in 2016 – qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Now in its fourth year of existence, the program has been close on a couple of occasions to sending a student-athlete to the NCAA West Regional meet. Last season, senior Cormac McCullaugh missed qualifying in the 1,500 meters by 0.5 seconds. In 2014, it was senior Rajpaul Pannu who was less than 10 seconds away from qualifying in the 10,000 meters.
