MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s track team heads to one of the fastest tracks in the nation on Saturday when it competes at the Hornet Invitational hosted by Sacramento State at Hornet Stadium.
Racing conditions should be ideal for the Gaels on Saturday after dealing with wind and rain at last week’s Aggie Open in Davis. Hornet Stadium has hosted two U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials meets and four NCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships. Saint Mary’s will compete in three events Saturday – the 800, 1,500 and 5,000-meter runs.
“Training is going well,” said Saint Mary’s head coach Marty Kinsey.
