SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Senior Zach Hansen collected his second victory in as many weeks Saturday and a number of Gaels posted solid days at the Hornet Invitational at Hornet Stadium on the campus of Sacramento State.
Hansen won the 1,500-meter run in a personal-record 3 minutes, 47.75 seconds, outpacing Academy of Art’s Valentin Pepiot by .07 seconds. Hansen broke two minutes (1:59) over his final 800 meters to move up from ninth place and win with his final kick. Hansen would later cap his day with a 1:52.21 in the 800, good for another top-10 finish.
