ORINDA, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s track team began its outdoor season Sunday with a familiar start, hosting a West Coast Conference gathering at nearby Miramonte High School with several WCC foes.
The Gaels began the morning by hosting a relay meet. It included main events of the 3,000 meters and the distance medley. Raymond Boffman was the Gaels’ top finisher in the men’s 3,000 and was third overall with a time of 8 minutes, 40 seconds. Joshua Spooner also broke the nine-minute barrier, running 8:49. For the women, Ali Teliha ran 10:17 in the 3,000 and was followed by Abby Bolt who ran 10:34.
