HAYWARD, Calif. – Gael freshmen came up big this weekend at the Cal State East Bay Invitational and recorded a number of personal-bests.
For the women's team, freshman Kaela Dishion continued to have a strong season and collected not one but two PRs in the 800 meter run (2:22.74) and the 1500 meter run (4:49.05). Freshman Amrita Vepa also raced well on Saturday and recorded a heat win and ranked 13th during her race in the 400 meter dash (1:04.36).
For the men's team, freshman Tommy Bell was the second runner of the weekend to get PRs in both of the races they ran as he did so in both the 800 meter run (1:58.
