MORAGA, Calif. — Indya Smith has been named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Gaels' four contests last week.
Across the four games, Smith batted .385 and led Saint Mary's with five hits. She posted a 2-for-3 game on Thursday against Nevada and then in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader versus Sacramento State, Smith went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
The home run was the first of the season for the Gaels. SMC split both doubleheaders and now sit at 2-2. Saint Mary's will face Sac State again this weekend in Moraga in a Friday doubleheader beginning at noon.
