MORAGA, Calif. — Both games of Saturday's doubleheader between Saint Mary's and San Diego proved to be pitching battles with a total of just four runs scored on the day. The Gaels (12-21, 3-5 WCC) would walk-off in the latter contest to split the two-game set.
GAME 1 RECAP Sofia Earle started for the Gaels in the circle and had a terrific showing even though she took the loss. Earle threw a complete game and gave up just two earned runs, four hits, two walks, while striking out nine.
