Box Score 1 SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Saint Mary's softball returned to action after getting rained out on Tuesday, heading up north to Sacramento State for the opening games of the Capital Classic. Games don't get much closer than how they were on Friday, with a pair of one-run games coming down to the final innings. Unfortunately for SMC, they were on the losing end of both, dropping the first game to Southern Utah 4-3 and then losing in extras to the Hornets 5-4 (8 innings). The Gaels are now 4-12 heading into play on Saturday.
