SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Saint Mary's (6-9) dropped their final contest of their three-game series with Cal Poly (4-2) with an 11-2 score on Sunday.
The Gaels got on the board first after two scoreless innings as Jayda Alaan knocked a single to center field to plate Julia McCormack with two outs in the third. The Mustangs answered right back however with four runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead.
Indya Smith drove in the Gaels' second run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth to make it a 4-2 game.
