MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s softball team took California to extra innings before falling 2-0 in eight innings in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Cottrell Field.
Lujane Mussadi was strong in the circle for the Gaels, allowing no runs through seven innings of work. Cal broke through for two runs in the eighth inning, which proved to be the difference. Mussadi finished with a solid line of eight innings, allowing seven hits, two runs and striking out two.
Hailey Sparacino had two of SMC’s three hits, while Andrea Hazel also added a hit and a walk.
