MORAGA, Calif. — On a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Cottrell Field, Saint Mary's Softball wrapped up a three-game series against North Dakota. Both teams played low-scoring affairs on Friday during a doubleheader, and not much changed during Sunday's series finale. The Gaels were able to get one last surge to go ahead, thanks to a big home run, and take the final game of the series with a 5-2 final. SMC is now 9-14 on the season while North Dakota falls to 10-22.
FOUR IN THE FOURTH
Saint Mary's got the runs they needed to put away North Dakota in the bottom of the fourth inning, after the bats had been held in check during the first three frames.
