SANTEE, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s softball team is playing in the San Diego Classic II Tournament, being held at the Sportsplex USA Santee, hosted by San Diego State. The Gaels won their first game, defeating Princeton 5-1 on Friday.
The classic is a huge tournament with three fields going on at once. SMC plays five games over three days, part of the 39-game tournament.
In the win over Princeton, Katie Moss (6-6) continued her strong streak of solid outings, going the complete game 7.0 innings, allowing six hits, one run and striking out five.
