SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After dropping the first contest of Saturday's doubleheader, Saint Mary's bounced back and defeated Sacramento State 6-3 in the second game to improve to 2-2 this season.

The first game of the doubleheader ended in the bottom of the sixth as the Hornets scored four runs to enact the run-rule. Sac State had scored three in the third and one more in the fifth to total eight runs.
The Gaels had four hits in the contest with Marissa Montelongo picking up half of those in a 2-for-2 game.
