BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — An extra-inning rally and a Katie Moss save helped Saint Mary’s (5-8) secure a win on Saturday over Bakersfield in doubleheader action.

In the first game of the day, Bakersfield (2-9) pulled together some late runs and downed the Gaels 7-3. All of the Roadrunners’ runs came in the fourth inning or later and a four-run fourth inning would be the difference maker in the ballgame.
On offense, Cara DiMercurio smacked the Gaels’ first home run of the season in the fourth inning and Nikki Alexander went 3-for-3 with three singles.
