LOS ANGELES — Saint Mary's (11-34, 4-5 WCC) couldn't overcome the conference's top pitcher, Hannah Bandimere, as they were shutout in their series finale against the Lions on Sunday, 8-0.
Bandimere, who entered the weekend with the lowest ERA in the WCC, held the Gaels to only three hits in four innings and faced just two batters over the minimum. Linnary Wilson pitched the fifth and final inning of the game to seal the win for Loyola Marymount (33-17, 5-4 WCC).
The Gaels picked up four total hits from Kimiko Zapanta, Bailey Lotz, Abbey Mariani, and Jaymee Campbell.
