MORAGA, Calif. — In a top-flight pitching duel between Katie Moss and BYU's McKenna Bull, the Cougars (43-10, 13-0 WCC) emerged victorious with a 4-0 decision over the Gaels.
Moss and Bull entered the weekend series as two of the West Coast Conference's best pitchers. Both players are among the top-5 in ERA and Bull and Moss lead the WCC in strikeouts, respectively.
Moss was rolling early, allowing only two hits and striking out five in the first four innings. However, the Cougars managed a number of hits to give the Gaels trouble in the later stages of the game.
