MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's softball team has signed pitcher Savannah Berkowitz in preparation for their 2019 season.
As a transfer from Fresno State, Berkowitz will join the Gaels as a sophomore after pitching in eight games with four starts for the Bulldogs. She recorded five total strikeouts during her freshman season and went 1-1 with a 5.82 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched. Berkowitz also received the 2017-18 NFCA Scholar Athlete and 2017-18 MW Scholar-Athlete awards as a freshman.
Berkowitz had numerous high school accolades as she pitched four seasons at Paradise High School and as a senior, she went 18-3 with a 0.
