SAN MATEO, Calif. — Despite pitching in just one game over the past week, Sofia Earle made that one game count. That one effort in a 3-0 Saint Mary's win on Tuesday against Nevada was more than enough to help Earle earn the West Coast Conference's Pitcher of the Week award, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Earle turned in a masterpiece during her lone appearance of the week, tossing a one-hit shutout at Nevada on Tuesday afternoon. The senior starting pitching was magnificent, taking a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth inning.
