SAN BRUNO, Calif. — In the final week of West Coast Conference softball, Saint Mary's claimed both the Pitcher and Player of the Week awards. Sofia Earle earned the Pitcher award while Dylan Linton took home Player honors.
Earle picked up two wins last weekend against San Diego and did not allow any runs over 13.1 innings of work. She struck out 10 Toreros during the series while giving up only 10 hits and three walks. Earle's complete game shutout on Saturday helped Saint Mary's clinch their seventh WCC win of the year, which gave the team more conference wins in 2019 than the previous two seasons combined.
