MORAGA, Calif. – Following the Saint Mary's Women's Soccer 2-1 win over Idaho State on Sunday, sophomore forward Tessa Salvestrin has been awarded the Saint Mary's Player of the Week Award for her two-goal performance.
Salvestrin was a pest for defenders all afternoon, as she attacked the Idaho State back line for all 90 minutes.
Both her goals came in quick succession, with the first coming in the 23rd minute and the second just three minutes later in the 26th.
For the first goal, Emily Jensen played a great outlet pass to Briana Salvetti charging down the wing.
