SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With rain battering down all across Northern California, Saint Mary's rowing moved from Lake Natoma to the Port of Sacramento on Saturday for the Sacramento State Invite. With calmer conditions there, the Gaels were able to muscle their way to two second place finishes on the day, facing a lot of regional competition that they will be seeing more of as the season progresses.
In what goes in the books are their first official competition of the spring semester, the Gaels came out and earned a second place finish in the first varsity eight boat with a time of 7:03.
