WASHINGTON, D.C. — It was a great weekend for Saint Mary's Rowing, who took to the racecourse on the Potomac nine times, winning five races. With just one more event until the conference championship, the Gaels are rounding into great shape for one of their best ever finishes in the ever competitive WCC.
The two day event began Friday morning, with the Gaels picking up two wins to start the day over Old Dominion in both the 1v8 and 2v8 races. The Gaels first varsity eight boat bested ODU by nearly ten seconds, while the second varsity eight held off the Monarchs for a near five second victory.
