ROW | Gaels Improve Times At WIRA Championships

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s rowing team complete action on Sunday at the WIRA Championships. The SMC varsity eight boat showed improvement by narrowing the gap against Sacramento State.

In the varsity eight, the Gaels finished fourth, beating Seattle and Santa Clara. The Gaels finished three seconds behind Sacramento State. The Gaels closed the gap with the Hornets as SMC was up to eight seconds behind the Hornets in March.

The SMC varsity four finished third, while the second varsity eight also took fourth.

Saint Mary’s will now have two weeks to prepare for the West Coast Conference Championships on Saturday, May 14.
