FOSTER CITY, Calif. — Saint Mary's Women's Rowing took part in the annual Head of the Lagoon, their first time taking part in the race since the 2019 season. Saint Mary's put two boats in the water and recorded a sixth-place finish out of 10 boats, marking a successful end to the 2021 Fall semester.
The Gaels were able to score a pair of victories with their A-boat over schools that register as significant wins. Saint Mary's finished the 5k race 20 seconds faster than one of the University of Washington boats, and another 22 seconds faster than Humboldt State.
