DEXTER LAKE, Ore. – The Saint Mary’s rowing team capped a strong day at the Covered Bridge Regatta in Oregon on Saturday. With just over a month until the West Coast Conference championships, Saint Mary’s had its varsity four reach the Grand Final, while both the varsity eight and second varsity eight defeated conference opponents.
The varsity four finished third in its heat and advanced to the grand final. In the heat, SMC defeated Santa Clara, Chico State and Sonoma State. The Gaels would finish sixth in the grand final race.
The SMC second varsity eight took first place defeating Western Washington, Portland and Humboldt State.
