SEATTLE – Indoor track season is underway for Saint Mary's Men's Track and Field, with 14 Gaels running in the mile race at the UW Preview in Seattle. In a field of 449 runners, the Gaels had half of their runners place in the top-100, including two, Julius Largaespade and Alexandro Alvarez placing in the top-20.
In his Saint Mary's track debut, Glendale Community College transfer Julius Largaespada paced the Gaels with a 16th place finish, checking in at 4:15.45. It was Largaespada's first mile since his junior year of high school, and his career best time besting his time of 4:36.
