DAVIS, Calif. – Saint Mary's Men's Tennis' first win in dual-match play remains elusive as the Gaels fell to UC Davis 6-1 this weekend.
The Gaels got a 6-4 doubles match win from James Watt and Caelen Potts over Andrei Volgin and Mitchell Davis, but the Aggies took two out of three to win the doubles competition.
Newcomer Thibaud Maxan got a win in the singles portion, defeating Mitchell Davis 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. The Gaels had three other singles matches go to three sets, including the second set of Pott's singles match, but the Aggies would take the other five matches.
