SAN DIEGO — Saint Mary's (1-5) fell on Sunday against San Diego 4-0 in the team's first WCC match of the season.
On the doubles court, San Diego (7-3) won the point with wins on courts one and two. Daniel Krutik and David Abfalter led their opponents on court three before the match was called.
Freshman James Watt played well again as the Gaels' No. 2 singles player as he won the first set against the Toreros' Joel Gamerov but the match was called before Watt had the chance to win in the second set tiebreaker.
