SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team defeated Eastern Washington on Sunday afternoon to complete action at the Sacramento Invitational.
Alex Hunt won at No. 1 singles 2-6, 6-0, 7-6 (8), while Manuel De Luis Lamelas won at No. 4 singles 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
Jacob Lagman won at No. 5 singles 5-7, 7-6 (6), 6-2, while Matthew Campana won at No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-4.
Nash Vollenwieder fell at No. 2 singles 7-6 (5), 6-1. James Markiewicz fell at No. 3 singles 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Doubles action was not played between EWU and SMC as the Gaels claimed the 4-2 victory.
