DAVIS, Calif. — Saint Mary's competed in 17 matches during a busy first day at the Aggie Invitational and won over half of them in their first team tournament of the year.
Boris Reckow led the Gaels by going 3-0 on the day including two singles wins. Reckow cruised to a 6-2, 6-4 victory in his first match before pulling off a comeback win 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 against Daniel Landa from UC Davis. The sophomore also teamed up with Abhishek Bastola for an 8-6 win over Santa Clara in doubles.
Andy Watterson and Jackson Hawk both earned wins in singles before falling in the second round.
