DAVIS, Calif. – Saint Mary's Men's Tennis lost a nail biter to Hawaii 4-3 on day two of the Golden Gate Invitational, co-hosted by UC Davis and Sacramento State.
The Gaels Carlos Ramos Membrives and Ellison Greco won the first doubles match of the day 6-3. But the Rainbow Warriors took the last two matches for the doubles point, including 7-6 (4) tiebreaking win.
SMC did tie things up right away, as Felipe Rincon won 6-1, 6-4 in the sixth spot. They would then take a 3-1 lead Mebrives won 6-1, 6-2 from the second position, and Pierre Lieutaud won 7-6 (4), 6-3.
