STANFORD, Calif. — Senior Damon Kesaris completed the ITA Regionals on Tuesday as the last man standing as the Gael won the singles championship in his seventh match of the tournament.
Kesaris didn't drop a single set during his championship run which culminated on the final day of the event with a 7-6(2), 6-0 win over No. 75 Yuta Kikuchi from Cal. Kikuchi was the top-seed in the 128-man field.
The Durban, South Africa native reached the finals round after defeating Oregon's Emmanuel Coste, the No. 100 singles player in the nation, 6-2, 6-4 yesterday.
